Photo Diary | Summer 2014

I decided to just compile a couple memories from this past summer. There were way too many things going on to constantly keep posting lol so here it is! Summer consisted of celebrating accomplishments, exploring Seattle, raging at the Gorge, hiking the great PNW, art fairs, and more QT with family and friends.  Thanks for a great summer everyone <3

Boga!

 

Boat + Yoga = BOGA! LOL, I was so excited for this event for a while. Krys' yoga instructor (shefa yoga studio) is the one who sets up this event, so she immediately signed us all up for it. Somewhat of a triple date, it was Royce, Jen (Joyce), Josias, Krysten, Elmer, and myself lol. It was on the Virginia V, which is docked right next to the Mohai museum in South Lake Union. It was super chilly and a bit loud due to all the water planes, but it was fun practicing outside...especially on a boat! I've been practicing a lot more lately, since my work schedule is all over the place. I find that my practice sets the tone for my day. On days I don't practice, I feel lethargic and not really motivated to do anything other than netflix. I hate that I can get super lazy and do netflix marathons like its "healthy." I'm glad I finally found a studio where I feel comfortable, even though I still do most of my practice at home :p lol cheers!

Team Elmer!

 

Congrats to this guy for winning BarFight last night! Similar to chopped, the judges composed 4 rounds where each bartender would make 4 different drinks. Elmer only came prepared with 2 secret ingredients, not knowing he could have brought his own garnishes/simple syrups. This obviously didn't stop him from winning the whole thing with a banana he found in the back kitchen...along with a couple lemons and limes lol. So proud of this guy and was super happy he had a great group of people there to support him!

My SIX tips for a quick trip to Oahu, HI

1. Do NOT underestimate Hawaii traffic (idk, you might be late or actually miss an entire wedding..)
2. SPAM musubi? Portuguese sausage musubi? ...no guys, AHI TUNA musubi is where it's at.
3. GO TO SHIROKYA... seriously...go....
4. You haven't had bubble tea till you've had it with yogurt soft serve on top! It may or may not be overly excessive...you be the judge.
5. If you're lucky and you're UBER driver has a pick-up...ride in the bed..you'll see why haha
6. Go with great company, it makes things...extra special <3
